International Piano Day (Live Concert)
International Piano Day
International Piano Day takes place each year on the 88th day of the year, and at PH Pianos we held a music event celebrating the instrument. In a continuation of our collaboration with the Royal Danish Academy of Music, we invited pianists from the classical piano study program to perform some of their favorite classical piano pieces for an audience on March 29th 2022.
Incredible Music
Classical piano repertoire is demanding and requires a high skill level of the players, as well as superior musical instruments to play on. In the case of International Piano Day 2022, each pianist brought some of the most difficult and beautiful music written for the piano.
Each player created a unique soundscape with the PH Grand Piano, and each one was able to make the piano sound like a different instrument from the previous player. From the dreamy music of Franz Liszt to the heroic and stormy Wanderer Fantasy of Franz Schubert, it was an evening to remember.
A highlight of the evening was the Piano Quartet No. 1 by Mozart, performed by pianist Love Persson, violinist Cassandra Juul, violist Vincen Arneodo, and cellist Aino Siurua.
A Special Space
Each event in the showroom of PH Pianos is a special occasion. Surrounded by the designs of Poul Henningsen in a bright and beautiful space, the music seems to expand out into the street and there are always observers watching from the large front windows.
PH Pianos hosts events, recordings, and music videos periodically in the showroom, both as a part of larger festivals, and for individual projects. This year, PH Pianos will expand its showroom expansion, allowing for even more musical activities to take place in the space with the incredible pianos designed by Poul Henningsen.
Music and Design
International Piano Day is an event that celebrates the beauty of the piano- both of the music written for it, and the design of the instrument itself PH Pianos is an ideal organization to mark the piano’s honorary day of celebration. At its core, PH Pianos honors the legacy of the world’s most incredible instrument, while celebrating innovation in design.
